Vacation

This week, we were supposed to go on a "stay-cation," but Javed got sick and we had to cancel our trip.  We were super bummed, but tried (really) hard to look for the positives.  After several days of being sick, Javed started to feel better.  We decided if we couldn't go to a hotel, we would do our best to enjoy some time together as a family.  Mommy and Daddy asked us what was something fun we wanted to do, and we decided that we wanted to go to Legoland.  Javed had already gone before on a field trip, so he was excited to share with us everything that we should do.  We got to ride some rides (one that WAY too high in Javed's opinion), make Lego cars and have races (one of Daddy's favorite parts), play in a big Lego play area (Charley's favorite part), watch a 4D movie, and drive Lego cars.  We had a great time together and Mommy and Riley had some "bonding" time as we enjoyed some of the rides and the movie.

After Legoland, we went and ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  It was awesome seeing all the animals, and we even had someone come make us some special balloons at our table.  Javed got a belt and sword and Charley got a parrot for her shoulder.  Although the food wasn't great, we had a fun time eating in the rainforest!

On the way home, we took a wrong turn (thanks to the silly construction), which turned into a great detour.  We always love seeing the planes when they land, but tonight, we passed by the Observatory, and Daddy stopped, so we could hang out and really watch them closely.  It was a beautiful night and and such an awesome way to end to our night!!

Though it was no "hotel, relaxing vacation"- we had a great family day and have many wonderful memories! :)
