Book Character Parade

Today was the Book Character Parade at my school.  I got to bring my favorite book and dress up like one of the characters.  This summer, Aunt Kristen got me a book called Pajama Day that I just love.  It's about a little boy named Drew A. Blank that is very forgetful.  When it's Pajama Day at his school, he forgets his pajamas and his teacher gives him some craft materials, so he could make his own.  I was so excited to dress up like Drew A. Blank for the parade.  Mama D and Mommy found a clown outfit, and we found some yarn and cut out shapes, and Mama D sewed them on my outfit.  So fun!

Sweet Words

At my new school, we are learning about the story of creation.  Each month, we have a bible verse to memorize, and this month it is: "In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth." Genesis 1:1

It's extra neat because not only am I learning about Genesis and the creation story at school, but also at Sunday school at church and in the church classroom when Mommy goes to her MOPS meeting.

Walking

Just in the past few days, I have become REALLY interested in walking.  I will stand up in the middle of the floor, walk a couple of steps, and then fall down and get back up.  I get so proud of myself when I walk, and I just love it when everyone cheers for me!  Mommy and Daddy just love my persistence!!!

Making the Ordinary Extraordinary

Oh, how can laundry be fun, you ask?  Javed and I have found a way.  He thought it would be so funny to hide under all the clothes, and then I would get to find him.  So fun!

Monthly Dinner

Tonight, we started a new tradition of meeting Kim and Kayla for dinner. We have decided that we live close enough where we need to be seeing each other more often, so we put it on our calendar, and we have monthly dates!

I love Kayla!

Even though I'm going through a major "Mommy" stage, I let Bobo
hold me (especially since she let me play with her keys! :)

Kayla and I had fun looking through her social studies book

We can't wait until our next date in October!

Beauty of Boys

Today, Mommy came into my room, and she found me sound asleep with my truck and train on my bed.

Oh, how wonderful are little boys!

Lazy Days

Lately, I have really gotten into make believe.  I absolutely love having an ice cream shop, and Mommy and Charley think that the ice cream I sell is so yummy.

Welcome to My Ice Cream Store!

Here's Your Ice Cream, Mommy.

The other thing that I LOVE doing is having a band.  I get my drum, and I put all the other instruments on the floor.  Mommy, Charley, and whoever else is around gets an instrument, and we march around the room and play follow the leader.

Ready to March

Here's my sweet baby sister getting ready to play with some toys (or throw the toys off the shelf onto the floor).

Thank God for lazy days and time to just PLAY!!!

Swing

Now that the weather is SO much nicer, Mommy, Javed, and I decided to go the park today.  Mommy put me in the swing, and I absolutely loved it.  I just kept smiling the whole time.   I can't wait to go back to the park again...SOON!

Bargain

From Mommy:  I have been wanting to get a shelf with hooks for Javed's room, so he could hang his backpack, his hat, and all the other things that he collects.  I found one at Pottery Barn Kids, but it was almost $100.  I just couldn't justify that.  Instead, I went to Michaels (with my 50% off coupon), and got a wooden shelf and some paint.  This is kind of new for me to do things like this, but it was actually really fun, and it cost me less than $10!!!  Gotta love a bargain.

Grapefest

Tonight, we got to go to a really neat carnival called Grapefest.  We had so much fun riding the rides.  I went on a little roller coaster, a Ferris wheel, the carousel, and a big slide.  Mommy and I went on the big slide first, and then we found out that Charley could go, so our whole family got to ride it together---that was extra neat.    The carousel was my favorite, but they were all lots of fun!  We also got to eat some yummy foods- corndogs, tacos, and funnel cake.  Some nice man at one of the food stands even let us try a fried oreo---YUMMY!  Before we left, we played a game where you tried to throw a ball into a jar.  Mommy was playing it, but she let Daddy and I try too.  Daddy got the ball in, and we won a fish!  Now, we have a new member of our family.  Mommy and Daddy let me name him, and I decided to call him, "Go-Go."  What an awesome evening!

A Cold One

I already have 8 teeth, but everyone thinks that I am getting another  one.  I have been drooling a lot and my fingers are always in my mouth.  When Daddy got home from work tonight, he gave me something that made me feel much better! :)

Goodbye, IWeb...Hello, Blogspot

After hearing that IWeb will no longer be available after next year, Mommy decided that it's time for us to get a new website.  We are all super excited about it, but Mommy is still trying to figure out how to preserve the old website.  In case you want to look back at older posts, you can still do that at:
http://web.mac.com/jdrew3/Javed/Welcome.html.  We can't wait to start our new blog!
