Rough Day

Last night, Daddy got into an accident, and his car was totaled.  God was watching over him, and although his car was messed up, he was okay (and so was the other man).  This morning, Mommy dropped him Daddy off at work, Javed off at school, and then we went to the car shop to get our truck fixed.  After being there for awhile (and realizing it was going to take even longer), Marla and Marley came and picked us up and we got to play over at their house for a little while.  Then, we decided to take a trip to Costco together.  After shopping, we all sat down for a little lunch.  I wasn't too hungry, so I was climbing around Mommy instead.  I accidentally slipped, fell backwards, and cracked my head on the bench behind me.  I started screaming, and when Mommy picked me up and realized there was blood all on my head, we quickly left the store and raced home to have Marley's daddy (whose a doctor) look at me.  After a lot of discussion, Mommy and Daddy decided that they would just watch me closely and not take me to get stitches.  I was such a good patient.  Even though I was in a lot pain, I handled it so well.  I stopped crying almost immediately after Mommy picked me up, and then I just kept saying things like, "I need you" and "Bandaid."  I was SUPER resilient.  Mommy and Daddy were SO grateful that God took care of me and that it wasn't more serious.  We are all shaken up...but so grateful that we were surrounded by wonderful friends and that God was with us!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Tonight, when Daddy got home from work, we ordered a pizza and made some homemade hot chocolate.  After we ate, we turned on some Christmas music and started decorating the tree.  We had so much fun looking at ornaments and seeing Christmas things all around us.   Before we went to bed, Mommy read us The Elf on the Shelf, and by the time we finished the book, Buddy, our elf, was waiting for us in our playroom.  Charley and I were so excited to see him, and we are going to try to be on our best behavior, so he can tell Santa how good we have been. We are so excited that the Christmas season is upon us, and we can't wait to prepare for the birth of our Savior!

Happy Thanksgiving

This year, we decided to stay in town for Thanksgiving.   While we missed seeing all the other side of our family, it was nice to have a relaxing day with Mama D and Papa Rock.  We decided to start early this year, so as soon as we woke up and got ready, we headed over to their house for some eggs, ham, and pumpkin pancakes.  After eating so much for breakfast, we thought we'd feel better if we worked off some of that food, so we went on a walk and then we played soccer and football.  We had so much fun playing together.  After that, we had a yummy Thanksgiving lunch and then we took naps and relaxed.  When we woke up, we played some more and then we headed over to Aunt Barbara and Uncle Tom's house, and we got to see all of our cousins.  It was so nice to visit with all of them!  We have so many things for which to be grateful...God has truly blessed us with a wonderful family and amazing friends.  Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

More Fun with D

This week, we have been learning more about the letter D.  We have been brainstorming all our D words, dribbling, doing dot art, learning about David in the Bible, and talking a lot about our D bible verses.  Fun times.

Thanksgiving Feast

Today, we had a celebrated Thanksgiving at my school.  It was super fun to have Mommy, Daddy, Charley, Mama D, and Papa Rock with me (especially on Papa Rock's birthday) We ate a yummy meal and then watched a neat Thanksgiving video of my friends and me.  I am so grateful for my family!
