Happy New Years Eve

Tonight, we had a very low key night because Mommy wasn't feeling so hot. Daddy took Charley and me on a date to Chick-fil-A. We had a yummy dinner, and then we came home and had fun playing with all of our instrutments and dress up clothes. Fun times!

10 Years, Baby!

This past weekend, Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 10 year anniversary. Since we were all in San Antonio that weekend, they decided to go spend the weekend at a nice hotel, and Charley and I got to play with Mama D and Papa Rock for the weekend. We had so much fun staying and playing with our grandparents! When Mommy and Daddy got to their hotel, they were surprised with a bottle of champagne and some yummy chocolates (thanks to Uncle Brandon). They felt super pampered and they were so excited to go to Uncle Brandon's restaurant and have dinner. Unfortunately, Mommy got that nasty stomach bug Charley and I have had, and so their weekend didn't turn out quite as they expected, but they were happy to have some time together.

Merry Christmas!

We have all been so excited for this day. We have been singing and dancing to Christmas songs, reading Christmas books, reading our Jesus Storybook Bible to prepare for Jesus' birthday, baking all kinds of fun goodies in the kitchen, searching and having fun with Buddy our Elf, coloring Christmas pages, looking at beautiful lights, and searching for wonderful presents to give those that we love. Unfortunately, with all of the great preparations that we have done, a nasty bug has hit our house, and Charley has just started to recover from it, and I am right in the midst of it. No fun!

This morning, when I woke up, I couldn't wait to see if Santa had eaten our cookies and the reindeer had eaten their food. I was so excited to see that Santa ate his cookies and he left Charley and me a note. After I read the note and saw that the reindeer ate their food, I was excited to see that our stockings had been filled and there were more presents under the tree. I decided to start sorting the presents, and Mommy decided it was time to wake up little Polka. Once Charley came downstairs, we were so excited to look at all the presents. We then sang Happy Birthday to baby Jesus!!! After we sang, we opened some of our gifts, and then we took a break to eat some homemade cinnamon rolls. Charley and I didn't have much of an appetite, so we were excited to get back to opening presents. Some of my favorite gifts were my pirate ship and my Who Shook Hook game. Charley's favorite presents were her shopping cart and a cupcake shape sorter.

After we opened our presents, we headed off to Mama D and Papa Rock's house. When we got there, we started cooking and opening presents. As we opened up our gifts, we got the most amazing present---it began to snow... A LOT! I have seen snow before, but this was Charley's first big snow, and we were ALL excited! After we finished opening our presents, we had snowball fights, built a snowman, and even made some snow angels. We had such a WONDERFUL day!!! We are so blessed that Jesus was born so many thousands of years ago and that He lives with us all now. He has blessed us with so many wonderful things and more importantly, such wonderful friends and family. Merry Christmas!!!
