Bugs

Tonight, we had a spring program at my school called Bugs.  My class dressed up as spiders, and we sang,  "Spider Man," "Itsy Bitsy Spider," and  "Sandra the Spider."  Then, we all sang, "It's a Small World."  Charley was SO excited to watch me perform, and Mommy, Daddy, Mama D, and Papa Rock were super proud of me.  Fun times.

While Javed was having some special time with Nana and Grandpa, I got Mommy and Daddy all to myself!  We had a relaxing morning, and then we went out for lunch at a new restaurant.  When we got to the table, they brought popcorn to our table, so I knew we would be a fan of this place.  While we all missed Javed, we sure enjoyed our time together!

Last night, I got some special time with Nana and Grandpa.  They had come in town for Kayla's volleyball game, and after her game, I got to go to the hotel with them and spend the night.  When we woke up in the morning, we saw a pretty pond, and we went and looked at the ducks.  What a fun morning!!!  Thank you for spending time with me, Nana and Grandpa!

Today, we had a very lazy day.  Lately, Charley has been LOVING her Legos.  She wants to play with them all the time.  While she was building a big tower, I got my dracula teeth and danced around the house.  We turned some music on and just enjoyed our morning together.  We love those lazy days!

When Mommy saw this shirt today, she just had to get it for me.  When Daddy was growing up, they used to call him RAD because those were his initials.  Now, I'm the cool RAD dude! :)

Valentine's Day

She said:  This morning, we were so excited to wake up and find some Valentine's presents for us!  Then, Daddy made us a special breakfast.  After Javed went to school, I got to play with my friend, Marley. We did Legos, played with our babies, and made cupcakes.  Then, I got to play at Marley's house while Mommy went to Javed's Valentine's Party at his school.  After a quick rest time, we had a Super Server mission.  We delivered some chocolate pretzels and flowers to one of our friend's whose Daddy was out of town.  We wanted her to know how special she was, and it felt so good to bring a smile to her face.  After our mission was complete, we all went to the park and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  When we got home, Daddy brought us home some heart shaped pizzas for dinner!  What a wonderful Valentine's Day!  We are so blessed to be surrounded by so much love!!

Fun Day

Today, when we got home from a friend's house, we saw a big box on the front porch.  We were so excited when we opened it, and we found special blankets that Nana made for us!  We love them SOOO much and want to take them everywhere with us!  We snuggled on the couch and in our beds with them, laid on the floors with them, used them to carry our special toys in, and Daddy even carried us upstairs and swung us around with them!  So fun!!

Tonight, Mommy and I got to go on a special date for Valentine's Day.  I decided that we should go to Uncle Julio's, and Mommy and I had so much fun.  She told Daddy when we got home that I was such a gentleman and such a lovely date.  Mommy told me that I am such a wonderful son, brother, and friend- I have such a BIG heart, and she and Daddy are so proud of the little boy that I am.  I told Mommy that I love spending time with her!  So cute! :)  Mommy and I will always remember our special date!

After dinner, Mommy and I went to the store and got some chocolate, so we could make some treats for my teacher.  Charley and I were SUCH awesome helpers- we unwrapped Hershey kisses and put them on all the pretzels.  We had fun making them and were even more excited to eat them!

Surprise!

From Mommy:  Lately, Rick and I have been SO busy, and we just haven't had a chance to connect as much.  I decided to see if his parents could watch Javed and Charley, and I could surprise him with a night for just the two of us.   Thankfully, Mama D and Papa Rock were SO awesome and they were excited to have a night with their grandchildren, and so I got to work on the surprise.  We went out for dinner, and after that, I told him that we had one more place to go, and I wanted to drive.  Although he was able to figure it out before we got there (partly because I needed help with directions) :), he was SOOOO surprised, and it felt so good to make him so happy.  Once we checked into our hotel, they told us that we were in the executive suite.  We were SO excited and couldn't believe our cool room.  We were able to catch up on one of our favorite shows, Parenthood and just enjoy each other's company!  Unfortunately, Rick got sick later that night, but luckily, it didn't last for too long.  We are beginning to think we are jinxed with hotel rooms. :)  Despite being sick, we had a WONDERFUL time, and we were so grateful to have some time to connect again!

Towers of Flowers

Every free chance she can get, Charley runs to her closet and gets her Legos out and tries to make a tall tower.  Today, I wanted to help her, and we decided to build a tower of flowers for Nana.  She hasn't been feeling so well, and we wanted to make her smile!  She said that we made her day! :)

While we were playing, I hurt myself, and Charley just reached over and gave me the biggest hug.  Although we can fight like the best of them, sometimes we are just too darn sweet! :) :)

Simple Things

He said:  Today, we had pink day at school, and since I don't have anything pink, Mommy cut out a big pink heart, and I wore it all day! :)  Charley and I also put on pink heart cupcake tattoos on our hands!

She said: After we dropped off Javed at school today, Mommy and I went to the mall to make some returns.  While I don't necessarily love going into stores, I was super excited to see the riding cars in the middle of the mall.  I kept asking Mommy when I could do the "ice cream truck."  I had so much fun riding in the truck and giving ice cream to Mommy.  Oh, the simple things.
