Swim Party

Tonight, we went to a swim party at the family whose house we bought.  They invited all of our neighbors and we got to hang out with everyone.  Charley and I had SOOO much fun swimming...and so did Mommy and Daddy!  Mommy and Daddy were extra excited about the sweet girls that were playing with us, so they could talk with our neighbors.  What an awesome night!

Lately, I have been enjoying drawing more and more.  Today, I draw a little picture, and I told Mommy that it was my snowman! :)  She was amazed how quickly I drew it, and how I am getting more and more detailed.

Slumber Party

Tonight, Daddy had to travel for work, so we had a slumber party with Ms. Becca, Jordan, and Noelle. They came over and spent the whole day with us.  We had so much fun playing together that Jordan and I didn't even want to go to sleep. Noelle and Charley were tired, and they slept very well in their beds in Charley's room. After Jordan and I finally went to sleep, we all woke up the next morning, and we got to play together some more.  What fun times!

Lately, I have become very interested in "reading" books, and I just love reading to Charley.  Before she went to bed tonight, we had some snuggle time reading together.  So sweet!

What a Day!

What a day today has been!  This morning, we woke up and decided to make muffins.  When we were halfway through, we realized that we didn't have any baking soda.  Luckily, Mama D was SO sweet and she let us borrow some (and she even brought it to us).  After we ate breakfast, we played around, and then Mommy wanted to go in the backyard to get some roses to put in our vase.  She was already running late for getting ready to tutor, but she thought she could do it quickly.  As soon as we got outside, we realized that we locked ourselves out.  Thank God, we heard Papa Rock in the front.  Unfortunately, he did not have the spare key, and he had actually ridden his bike over to our house.  On his way, he fell and scraped himself up.  Mommy decided to ride his bike to their house (in her pajamas), so she could get the spare key.  After that funny incident, Mommy rushed off to tutor, and we got to hang out with Papa Rock.  A little while after Mommy got home, we heard that Charley woke up.  When we went to her room, we smelled something a little funky.  It turns out that she had pooped, and then she decided she didn't want to wear that diaper, so she threw it on the floor!!!  Then, she fell asleep half-naked in her bed.  It was a good thing Mommy had just washed her sheets this morning. :)  After we cleaned her and her room all up, we were all tuckered out.  We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out and just playing.  Charley and I had fun dressing up and running around.  At one point, Mommy heard me laughing, and when she went to the bathroom, she found Charley in the sink.  She had moved the stool over, and she decided to get a close up of the bathroom mirror. :)    Never a dull moment in our house, and we wouldn't trade it for anything...

Yesterday, Bobo and Kayla came over to play and we got to go the water park together.  This morning, Bobo had a doctor's appointment and Mommy had to tutor, so Javed, Kayla, Mama D, and I all got to hang out.  We went to the library for storytime, went to get train rolls and cookies at the bakery, played at the park, and went to watch the trains.  What a fun morning!

We moved into our NEW house a couple of weeks ago, and we have really been enjoying it!  This afternoon was pretty relaxing- we had lunch at home, played around the house, and went to the library. LOVE the simple days!

Today during my quiet time, I decided to draw pictures.  Mommy was SO excited when I showed her my self portrait.  She thought it was so cute that I even put glasses on my picture. :)

Today, we are going to our first movie of the summer.  I've gone to the movies before, but this is Charley's first time.  Mommy tried to get some pictures before we left.  She hoped that these pictures were not indicative of what our day would be like...

Update:  We saw Happy Feet 2, which was a VERY long movie.  Javed enjoyed the movie, and Charley enjoyed the popcorn! :)  Mommy was busy watching Charley (who was much more interested in the people in front of us, the back row, and the dirty floor than the movie), so she could barely tell you what the movie was about. :)
