Afternoon at the Park

Lately, the weather has been SO pretty, and we have been trying out different parks.  We found one that we really like.  We love playing chase there, and Charley loves the swing.  She especially likes it when I swing her---she thinks it is so funny, and before long, we are all cracking up.  We just love the park!

Family Dinner

Tonight, we had a family dinner at Chili's.  Charley and I shared a meal, and we ordered corn on the cob.  This was Charley's first time to eat it, and she LOVED it.  She even wanted to take it to the car with her. :)  Also, while we were at dinner, we played a new game called "Guess Who?" Mommy, Daddy, and I would take turns thinking of a person, and the other two people would ask questions and try to figure out who it was.  When Mommy was much smaller and she was going to sleep at night, Grandpa used to play this game with her before bedtime, and it brought back REALLY fond memories for her.  We had a great time playing it, and I wanted to play all the way home too! :)

Paradise Pond

One of the really cool things about the Grapevine area is that they have a lot of REALLY cool indoor playgrounds at different churches.  Mommy has been attending a meeting called MIA at one of the local churches, and she found out about a playground that they had there called Paradise Pond.  We have gone several times, and it is awesome!!  They have a huge indoor slide, a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, a basketball game, a neat merry go round, and then lots of exploration areas (cars/trucks, dinosaurs, dress up, building, playing house, and taking care of babies).  We just LOVE it!!!  We can't wait to go back again.

Valentine's Day

This morning, I tried to finish up writing my Valentines for my friends.  Mommy and I made little bags of marshmallows, Hershey kisses, and graham crackers, and we wrote, "Every day, I like you S'more."  Then, I got to practice my new skill and sign my name on each of the cards.  As I was working on those, Mommy made us some heart cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  Charley and I were super excited about those!  Unfortunately, this morning, I woke up with a really bad cough, and I was coughing so much that I got sick.  This meant that I couldn't go to school, and I had to miss my Valentine's party. :(

Since I stayed at home today, we got to do some fun activities.  We played Valentine Bingo, and I got to do a matching color heart activity.  Then, Mommy went to have lunch with a friend, and Mama D, Charley, and I melted some chocolate and had some chocolate covered pretzels and bananas.  After our naps/quiet time, we made some cupcakes and then just hung around the house for the afternoon.  For dinner, Mommy made heart hot dogs.  Though I loved looking it, Charley and I were not too fond of them.  Mommy thinks it's so funny that we both LOVED our tuna dinner last night, but we didn't want much to do with hot dogs.  Silly kids.

After dinner, it was time for baths, books, and bedtime!  What a fun Valentine's Day!

My Name

At school this year, I have been working hard tracing and writing my letters. Lately, I decided that I would like to start practicing my name.  Today, Mommy and I made some Valentines for my friends, and she was SO excited when she saw what I did all by myself!

Camping

Lately, I have become VERY interested in camping.  Daddy and I have had many conversations about what to do when we go camping and what kinds of things we should pack.  (I think one of the most important things to pack is some homemade cookies that Mommy will make for us.) :)  Last week, Daddy surprised me and bought us a tent, and so tonight, we decided to try it out in my room.  We had SO much fun, and I can't wait to go camping again!
