How Do I Love Thee?

From Mommy:  There are so many moments that I want to have time stop and just record those moments in my mind.  Today, we were on a walk, and Javed (with his plastic gun on his side and his whistle around his neck), went and picked me some flowers, and brought them to me.  It's moments like these that just make my heart melt.  I love you so much, sweet boy!

From Mommy:  Today, we went to breakfast, and at one moment, I look over at Charley and she has the whole container of cream cheese up to her face, and she is licking it.  That is my Charley girl.  She is so passionate about everything, and she puts all of herself in everything she does.  I love you so much, my sweet baby girl!

Potty Training

I have started to show Mommy and Daddy signs that I might be ready to use the potty.  Off and on, I have gone on the potty, but Mommy and Daddy decided that they would try to put me underwear and just see how I did.  They were amazed at how well I did. Today was the first day, and I only had 1 accident.  I went on the potty 7 times before the day was over!  Mommy and Daddy and Javed are SOOO proud of me!!! :)

Happy Easter

When we woke up this morning, we were so excited and ready to celebrate that Jesus had risen!!!  Alleluia!  We also loved being able to see our neat Easter baskets with treats in them.  After we looked through our baskets, we headed to church to celebrate the real reason of Easter.  We had a great time singing praises to God!  After church, we played around for while, and then we came home and relaxed.  After quiet time, Mrs. Marla and Marley came over and we made Resurrection rolls and played.  Then, we had one last Easter egg hunt!  You can never have too many hunts! :)  We were EXHAUSTED by the end of the day- Charley even fell asleep before 7 tonight.  We are all looking forward to a good night's rest!  Happy Easter! :)

Easter Celebration

Today, we went to Mama D's and Papa Rock's house to celebrate Easter.  When we got there, we got to open our Easter baskets.  Then, we had a YUMMY meal of ham, sweet potaotes, green beans, rolls, broccoli and rice casserole, orange dump salad, and deviled eggs.  After we ate, we went on an egg hunt, and Charley and I had SOOO much fun.  We searched high and low, and I even found the golden egg.  I won a little golf set, which I was super excited about it.  We loved being with family and celebrating Jesus rising from the dead! Happy Easter!

Egg Hunt #3

Today, we got to go to another Easter egg hunt with Mrs. Marla and her family.  We got to play at the park, do Easter egg relays, play golf and soccer, listen to the Easter story, and go on a walk around the lake.  While we were walking around the lake, we had to be careful because there were lots of thorny trees.  Mommy and Mrs. Marla thought this was a great opportunity to remind us that today is Good Friday, and we had a neat conversation about the thorns that they put on Jesus' crown.  We were so sad to know how badly He was treated.  We even got to touch the thorns (carefully), and we couldn't even imagine what He had to go through for us.  What a good reminder of the Easter story.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful morning with amazing friends.

Tonight, we got to go to an awesome egg hunt.  We ate dinner, listened to the Easter story, played at the park, and hunted eggs.  We got to see a lot of our MIA friends, which was lots of fun!   What a great evening!
