More Fun with D

This week, we have been learning more about the letter D.  We have been brainstorming all our D words, dribbling, doing dot art, learning about David in the Bible, and talking a lot about our D bible verses.  Fun times.

This week, we have been learning all about the letter D. We have been talking a lot about our bible verse, "Do not be anxious about anything."  Mommy was so proud of me for tracing all the words to our verse.  We have also been listening to our bible verse in an awesome song by Family Seeds.   It sure is more exciting to learn bible verses when you can sing it!  The great thing is that the words get stuck in your mind, and so you are really repeating the bible verses over and over.  Too cool!

While we were in Houston, we continued our C week by playing with cooked spaghetti.  It's amazing how fun some noodles, utensils, and containers can be! :)

Fun with C Week

We have lots of fun learning about the letter C.  We made chocolate chip C cookies, which were fun to make, and even more fun to eat!  We also read a book about clouds, and then we used cotton balls and chalk to make our own clouds!   We also have been learning a lot about our two bible verses- "Children, obey your parents in everything for this pleases the Lord" and "Cast your cares on the Lord He will sustain you.  He will never let the righteous fall."

This afternoon, we had fun sorting colored stickers and putting them in the right section.  Mommy was impressed how well I could sort!

One of the things that we did to celebrate C week was make colored tape collages.  We had so much fun cutting the tape and then making designs.  After we finished, we thought it would be fun to color our collages.   We were super proud of our artwork!

Tower of Babel

We have been reading and talking about the Tower of Babel.  I think it's really interesting how God made the people talk all different languages.  Today, Mommy and I tried to speak two different languages, and we thought we were pretty funny talking gibberish. :)  When Charley was up from her nap, we all read the story of Babel again, and then we had a  Babel snack.  Mommy gave us peanut butter and crackers, and we go to build a tower with our snack.  We talked about how the people were going to build a staircase to heaven, so everybody would look at them, and not God.  I reminded Mommy and Charley that you should never pretend to be God!  There is only ONE GOD!  Mommy loves to hear my understanding of the Bible, and we love trying to teach Charley about it too!

Fun with the Letter B

For the past two weeks, we have been talking all about the letter B.  Some of my favorite things we have done are sing lots of B songs:  B-I-B-L-E, Blessed Be the Name, Bringing Home My Baby Bumblebee, B-I-N-G-0, and Building Others Up.  We also have LOVED coming up with as many B words as we could.  Mommy was so proud of me when I found  the word business on a cover of a book, and then a couple of days later, I remembered how to spell it! :)   Today, we had fun building a tower out of boxes.  Then, for lunch, we had banana buns.  Fun times!

Bagels and Butterfly Snacks

This week, we have been learning all about the letter B.  For breakfast this morning, we ate some yummy bagels (always a good excuse for Einstein Bagels).  Then, at lunch, Mommy made us a special butterfly snack.  We both LOVED it!
