36 Weeks

I can't believe we are nearing the end of my pregnancy, and we are going to get to meet Riley Grace soon!!!  I am 36 weeks today and have been measuring 2-3 weeks ahead.   It is looking like if she doesn't come on her own,  I will be induced on May 1st, so that means 3 weeks from today!!!  WOOHOO! Can't wait to hold my baby girl!

Showering of Love

From Mommy:

Tonight, we had a wonderful celebration to honor the upcoming arrival of Riley Grace!  I'm officially 31 weeks pregnant and ready to meet this sweet little girl.  It was so much fun to have a night to just focus on her and dream about our new family of 5! :)  I am so grateful for wonderful friends and family to share in the fun!

27 Weeks

Today, I went to the doctor and had my glucose test.  It was not fun to fast, but I am so grateful that everything turned out well and I don't have gestational diabetes.  Although this has been a much rougher pregnancy, I feel so blessed that I am overall healthy and Ms. Riley Grace is growing nicely! :)

It's A…...

After Mommy and Daddy went to the doctor and found out if we were going to have a brother or sister, they bought us some cupcakes to tell us the big news...

Baby #3

This morning, I got to go to the doctor to check on the progress of baby #3.  My doctor is so awesome--he does a sonogram EVERY single time you go.  This has been so uplifting, especially since I have felt so much worse this time around.  At my first appointment at 7 weeks, you could barely see a circle and the whole thing was moving up and down with the heartbeat. Two weeks later when I went, the baby was easy to see and you could already tell where the head and the body was. Now, at 13 weeks, it was truly amazing.  I could see fingers, hands, legs, toes, and a VERY active baby, who was jumping all over the place.  Here are a couple of videos from that day.  (Please excuse my annoying voice). :)

Similarities:
-Very tired
-Bloated
-Just as excited to read about development of baby

Differences:
-Started with 2 rounds of bloodwork with Charley and this pregnancy
-Have to eat EVERY 2 hours with Charley and this pregnancy
-WAY more sick and fatigued with this pregnancy

Today, we got to go to Kayla's volleyball game, and in between games, we put our shirts back on and surprised everyone else with our big news!!  Everyone was SO excited, and we are all counting down the days until May 8th!

Baby #3

Mommy said:  This morning, we were having a relaxing and lazy morning at home, when I decided to take a pregnancy test.  I was late (and hoping that it would be positive), but I was trying not to get my hopes up too much.   Sure enough, when I took the test, it was POSITIVE!

4 Weeks

I was super excited, and even more excited that Rick had the day off, and I could tell him our news quickly.  With Javed and Charley I was teaching, and I had to wait ALL day to tell him, so this was so much nicer.  I wrote him a note telling him how proud I was of him and all of his dedication to our family, and then I told him that in the next year, Labor Day would be coming twice (once today and once on May 8th).  It was a great moment, and we could just sit together and let it soak in! :)   After the kids woke up from a nap, we gave them both shirts to tell them they we were going to have another baby.

It worked out so well that we were already going to dinner with Rick's parents and Brandon.  After dinner, we put the shirts on the kids and let them surprise them!  Priceless!  Then, we go to Skype with Aunt Kristen, and she was able to figure it out too!!! :)  So fun!
