Fun Day

This morning, Mommy and I got to play at the park with my new kindergarten friends.   We played soccer, and I told Mommy the best part about that was the "huddles."  While we played at the park, Charley and Daddy got to hang out together and play at home.  After we got home, I went with Mama D to have lunch, to see a play, and then to get ice cream.  What fun we had together!!!  While we were there, Charley and Mommy went to Jamba Juice and got a berry smoothie.  Yummy!

This morning, I got my cast off!!!  I was excited, but not as excited as Mommy. :)  I was super brave as they sawed the cast off and as I got my new X-rays.  The doctor said that everything has healed well, and that Mommy and Daddy have to monitor me for the next 4 weeks.  No jumping, climbing, or running.  EEKK!!  Those are my middle names.  These may be some slow weeks coming up, but I am hoping that everything continues to heal well! :)

Today was our last full day at Nana and Grandpa's house, so we did two of our favorite things:  went swimming and went to HEB!  Nana and Grandpa had collected so many Buddy Bucks, and we had so much fun trying to win our prizes.  Charley was so cute--jumping around after every ticket.  At one point, she said, "Mommy, I am so happy."  So sweet. :)

This week, we have done A LOT of celebrating!  On Tuesday, Aunt Kristen turned 40!  We have spent the week loving on her and showering her with forty gifts to let her know how much we love her.  She is such an awesome aunt and a wonderful woman, and we just LOVED spoiling her.  Today, is actually Emma's birthday and she turned 17!  We love our Emma too, and we were excited that we got to go out to eat with her and that Emma, Grayson, Uncle Sammy, Aunt Kristen, JoJo, and Megan all came over to play tonight.  What a fun day!!!!

While we have been staying at Nana's, we have had LOTS of fun and have enjoyed staying up late and watching lots more television. :)  Tonight, we made a little palette and watched some Special Agent OSO.  Oh, what a life!

ER Trip #2

She said: Last night, I started complaining that my side was hurting really badly.  After I went to sleep, Mommy and Daddy didn't think too much of it until I woke up throwing up and had a fever.  Within a couple of hours, my fever spiked to 104.8, and so Mommy and Daddy decided that I needed to go to the ER.  They were worried that I might have an appendicitis, and they wanted to get me all checked out.  By the time I got back into the ER room, my fever dropped (on it's own), and after running a bunch of tests, they sent me home and told Mommy and Daddy to continue monitoring me.  After a trip to the doctor, they think that I just had a virus, and hopefully, will be all better soon! :)

This morning, Daddy took us to the splash pad, so we could play with my Kindergarten friends.   We had so much fun, and I am getting really excited about starting school.  How cool is it that I have been able to play with my friends before I even start school?  Fun times.

Baoom, Baoom, Ba- Bubble Gum

I have always loved the idea of chewing bubble gum, but whenever I have tried it, I end up swallowing it.  Tonight after dinner, Mommy decided to get me a surprise, and I got to put a quarter in a bubble gum machine, and I got a yellow ball of bubble gum.  Since the restaurant was close to our house, Mommy and I walked home, and I got to chew my gum the whole way home.  I was nervous to swallow it, so I chewed it with my two front teeth.  So silly.

This afternoon, we had some free time and we started feeling better, so we got to have an impromptu playdate with our friends.  We went swimming in their play pool, ate dinner with them, and then we got to play!  It's great to be kids!

This morning, I went and helped Mama D with a service project at her church.  We packed lunches for kids who were hungry, which was a really neat experience.  We are all so very blessed and it felt good to give back!  I even got to say the prayer for everyone.  God is good...All the time...All the time...God is good!

Summer Reading

This summer, we have been reading a lot, and we have been keeping track of some of our books for the Summer Reading Club at the library.  We both finished 30 books, and we got to go today to collect our prizes-- we got some coupons for free meals and free custard and some fun little toys.  We love reading, and getting prizes for reading is even better! :)

Happy 4th of July

Today, we started feeling better, so we got to go celebrate Fourth of July at our friend, Ms. Becca's house.  We swam, ate dinner, and even got to watch fireworks in their front yard.  How cool is that?
